The first section of the ritual, marking the steps of the spiritual journey into the full communion of the Catholic Church, offers the procedures and periods that make up the full rite. The second section provides the necessary ritual for celebrating the rite in other forms. Three appendices supply additional combined rites and one optional parish celebration; acclamations, hymns, and songs; and national statutes for catechumens.
