This USB Flash Drive is a component unique to this study. On the USB flash drive is a set of maps and charts prepared especially for this study of the Prophets and Paul's letters. It provides the setting or surrounding circumstances in which an event occurs. Items on the USB situate the Prophets and Paul's writings historically and geographically. Suggestions in the teacher helps and study manual will guide its use and stimulate individual interest. The USB itself is a basic component intended for use in the group meetings; it is not optional. Each group needs weekly access to the materials in it. Maps and charts can be printed or projected for group use.
Disciple Fast Track, part of the
Disciple family of Bible studies, provides a great option for busy people just like you who seek to gain a better understanding of the Bible and want to grow as disciples.
Fast Track groups can meet for a total of 24 weeks, devoting 12 weeks each to the Prophets and to the Letters of Paul, making it easier to fit into busy schedules.
This study examines the connection between memory and identity as the people of God. Participants will find common themes, including calls to remember, calls to repent, calls for renewal, and calls for community.
In this study, there are 12 sessions on the Old Testament major and minor Prophets and on the thirteen New Testament letters traditionally attributed to Paul. The prophets and Paul are continually calling hearers and readers back to their God and to a sense of who they are as a people "set apart." Daily reading assignments are designed to establish the historical context in which the prophets and Paul worked. Readers will encounter "The Word of the Lord" with comments on Scripture and amplification of meaning, as well as "Marks of Obedient Community," which identify beliefs, attitudes, and actions of the obeying community. "Marks" is the faith response to "Our Human Condition."
