Leah McCarthy is feeling a bit left out. The rest of the members of the Home Team seem to be making big changes in their lives, but she's stuck in one place and losing her sense of purpose. When she begins to experience flashbacks in the middle of a raid, Leah seeks the advice of the group's therapist, who recommends a vacation is in order.
But upon arriving in her hometown to visit her sister's family, Leah finds herself in the middle of a fight at the grocery store that leaves her spiraling even more out of control. Struggling to keep a low profile, Leah soon finds herself in the middle of an investigation that leads her to partner with a local police officer, G.W., who makes her feel something she has never felt before.
What the investigation leads her and G.W. into turns her vacation upside down and requires her to cut her vacation short and head back to headquarters. Along the way, Leah's faith will be shaken as she struggles to figure out where she belongs. As the Home Team unveils a terrorist plot to destroy the U.S., Leah must overcome her past to ensure that she and her teammates-and her country-have a future.
