Fiesta Jubilosa

Fiesta Jubilosa (Joyful Fiesta) includes 87 songs and 59 prayers and litanies and is available in pew and accompaniment editions. This new fully bilingual worship resource was developed with the leadership of General Editor Dr. Raquel Mora Martinez, collecting works from 91 contributors and includes texts, original music, and arrangements for both Spanish and English-speaking worshippers.

Dr. Martinez notes the rich variety of musical styles from various nations of Latin America, the United States, and the Caribbean “reflects the styles and traditions of the mixed culture of the Hispanic / Latino communities.” The new resource draws on these several traditions and presents them in the order of the Christian Year, complementing other collections of Methodist hymnody.

“This bilingual (Spanish / English) resource will help reach new generations, especially in our communities where the number of bilingual Hispanic / Latinos is growing,” said Dr. Martinez, and supplements the UMC’s Spanish language hymnal Mil Voces Para Celebrar and worship resources found in Fiesta Cristiana (available from Cokesbury.com).
